2009 Mens and Ladies AGM
The AGM of Baltinglass Golf Club was held last Sunday night, Captain Michael Browne thanked his committee, the Hon Secretary Jim Murray, Treasurer Bernie Kilcoyne President Matt O`Brien and all the members who helped him make his year a very special one. He also wished next Year’s committee and the incoming Captain Robert Mc Hugh every success. The full Executive committee for 2010 is, Captain Robert Mc Hugh, Hon Secretary Jim Murray, President Jim Byrne, Treasurer Tom Hanafin, Vice Captain Fran Quaid, Lady President June Smith, Lady Captain Olivia Cooney, Lady Vice Captain Margo Doyle and the 5 elected committee members are James Darcy, Paul Davis, Brendan Doogue John Doran Jnr, and Richard Lynch.
The Ladies AGM was held last Thursday night, Lady Captain Mary Deegan thanked her committee, her Secretary Maria Walshe, and all the Ladies who helped her make her year a very memorable one, and she wished next years committee every success. Mary then presented The Silver Spoon to Mary Gorry, The silver Medal to Joanne Daly and the Bronze Medal and Golfer of the Year to Teresa Doogue. Mary then introduced next years Captain Olivia Cooney, Olivia said how much she appreciated the honour and looked forward to a very successful year with the cooperation of all the members. Lady President Ann Sammon congratulated the Ladies committee on doing a great job during the year and commended the Lady Captain. The full Ladies committee for 2010 is, Lady President June Smith, Lady Captain Olivia Cooney, Lady Vice Captain Margo Doyle, Lady Hon Secretary Mai Quaid, and the 5 committee members are Paula Cadden, Joanne Daly, Assumpta Doody, Gen Doyle and Catherine Lord.
