Lady Captains Prize

Golfer of the Year in 2008 Joanne Daly won the Ladies Captain’s Prize (Mary Deegan) on a final day interrupted by severe thundery showers. Joanne had a fantastic score of 68 playing off 15 bringing her winning score to 143. Runner up Claire Byrne backed her opening round of 72 with another consistent round of 73. Irish Ladies Senior Manager Mary Gorry won the gross, shooting four birdies for a score of 75 playing off 5. Mary Deegan expressed her gratitude to all members for the courtesy they have shown her and thanked Ashton Catering for their service and efficiency. Also high in her praise was Martin and his hard working course staff for the excellent condition of the course.
